Subler EyeCare History
Dr. Subler purchased the practice from Thomas Redick, O.D. in February of 2013 and started Subler EyeCare. Dr. Redick had been in practice for over 30 years providing eyecare to patients in the Troy area. Dr. Subler prides himself on having been selected by Dr. Redick to purchase the practice and carry on his tradition. The goal of Subler EyeCare is to provide modern care while maintaining the personalized, individual care patients seek.
Dr. Ryan M. Subler
Dr. Subler received his doctorate of optometry from The Ohio State University and has been in practice since 2006. After graduating from optometry school, he volunteered for a one-year residency at The Eye Center of Toledo with a focus on Ocular Disease. After several years of private practice in Northern Kentucky, Dr. Subler and his wife decided to relocate closer to where they grew up, landing in Troy. Troy proved to be a fertile area for the Subler family, quickly expanding their family from three to six.
Being a resident of Troy, he believes in giving back to the community and enjoys donating his time and services throughout the area. In his downtime, he enjoys spending time with his growing family; Daughters – Ava & Eleanor, and Sons – Louis & Stanley. He is an avid golfer and staunch OSU fan. Don’t be surprised if you catch him with an orange and brown tie on after a Cleveland Browns win.
Dr. Subler and his wife have been to thirteen different NFL Stadiums to attend Cleveland Browns games – in an attempt to eventually visit all NFL Stadiums. (In true Brown’s fan fashion, he believes THIS will be their year!). He is also bit of a television, movie, & music buff with an unrivaled love of Seinfeld, Trading Places, Coming to America, 80’s music and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Michelle joined the practice in November, 2008. She will greet you with a smile and personally guarantee you enjoy your visit. Michelle has experience in all aspects of the business, allowing her to excel as the office manager. She grew up in Woodburn, IN and has received her Associates Degree in both Accounting and Medical Office Support. Michelle and her husband, Mark of 32 years, have two sons: Nathan, a CPA at MCM CPA’s & Advisors in Jeffersonville, IN and Dylan, a Mechanical Engineer at Subaru in Lafayette, IN.
Enjoys riding on the bike trails craft & antique fairs, walking her dog, Radar, and traveling.
Jamie came to Subler Eyecare in July of 2019, but she is certainly not new to the industry. She is a certified and licensed optician with 10+ years of experience, so she has seen a mangled frame or two…and fixed them. She has a knack for helping patients select the best frame for their style and the technical knowledge to know what will fit and be comfortable. Jamie is a native Trojan and resides in Troy with her husband, Steve, 3 daughters and 2 step-sons. An avid baseball family, they love the Reds and are season ticket holders for the Dayton Dragons. When Jamie is not participating in her children’s extracurriculars, she is deeply involved in her church, where she and Steve teach Sunday school amongst other activities (they have been known to play on their church softball team!).
Jamie enjoys playing golf with her husband, running and spending time with all 5 of her kids. She also enjoys country music and is especially fond of Dolly Parton.
Sarah came to our office in the Summer of 2016. She has a double Associates Degree in Marketing Design and Business. and thus, sports a very eclectic working history, ranging from; working at a newspaper for 6 years, 10 years in child care, and running her own side business (ABdesign Studio) where she does home fashion design. She grew up in Versailles, Ohio and now resides in Troy with her husband (high school sweetheart), Rob and their 3 children. In what free time she has, Sarah spends it attending her children’s activities of soccer and cheering.
Sarah’s house is the place to be for her children and their friends. She enjoys having them around and getting to know their personalities, given her warm disposition and love for listening, you can see why they gravitate to her.
